Course Description:
As a professional basic course, Digital Control System mainly focuses on the analysis, controller design methods, as well as the practical applications of the computer control systems. The analysis of the computer control systems provides insight into the analysis of the system stability, static and dynamic performances. The design methods of the computer control system include indirect design method based on the continuous control theory, the direct design method based on the discrete control theory, and the state space method based on the modern control theory. Two case studies, the design of the computer control systems of permanent magnet synchronous motors and induction motors, will be described respectively. This course has relatively independent systematic theoretical framework. Its basic theoretical knowledge and the engineering methods have significant meanings to the design of the control systems. Therefore it provides necessary basis for the forthcoming courses related to control engineering, such as process control , robot control, intelligent control, and so on.
