Course Description:
The course emphasize on the teaching of the basic principles and control methods of using power electronic devices to design the actual facilities and system, making the students have a deep understanding of relative knowledge by means of computer simulation. The main contents include the topologies and working principles of MV alternative current drives, power quality control systems, power converter of HVDC and renewable energy systems. Through the theoretical study of this course and computer simulation experiments, the students would possess the capabilities of using the professional knowledge synthetically, enhance the abilities of solving the practical problems, learn the state-of-art of the relative research of theory and technology in fields of power electronic discipline, lay a solid foundation for scientific research and engineering design in the aspects of in electrical engineering.
