Course Description:
Electrical apparatus is one of the basic components in electrification and automation engineering. Now it being an individual subject of electrical engineering plays a vital role in controlling and protecting electric power circuit and electrical equipment which used in industrial application. This course mainly includes basic theory relative to electrical apparatus, i.e. electromagnetic mechanism theory, electrical contact theory, electrical arc theory, electrodynamics and heat transfer theory. The course mainly focuses on working principle, structure and design analysis of typical electrical apparatus, including miniature circuit breaker, solid relay, hybrid relay, hybrid contact, electromagnetic relay in aircraft and miniature electromagnetic relay basing MEMS technology.
